Companies have customer software built in the technology of the day and expect it to be useful for many years. Imagine if Microsoft had have stopped after their first version of Word, or Excel, that is what we would all be working with still to this day. Employees grow tired of problems, complications and work-arounds on old systems. These can be especially frustrating when the expected output changes and the application can not handle this.
A simple change could be all the application needs and it does not have to cost the company a fortune. A change to the structure of the system can supply the user with an endless number of new possibilities. New functions can be added to simplify a process or the final output of the product can be altered to reflect the new output required by the user. A change to the structure is not nearly intrusive as implementing a new application. Another advantage is that very little training is needed to teach the users the new functions of the website; this provides a very small learning curve for the company as the users already understand the major functionalities of the application. A simple change of your existing systems can take your applications from obsolete to state of the art which can reflect well on time taken to complete processes.
Designing new software can be the better option; in the case that either you do not have an application to carry out the functions you require, or that processes have changed so drastically that the old system does not carry out the functions that are now necessary. Look at this as a positive. When designing custom software with TimelessMIND the customers requirements are the key guidelines to ensuring we meet all the expected output the customer needs in order to carry out all the functions of the business. We understand that no to software applications will need the same functions and we ensure that each is custom built to the exact requirements of the customer.
Companies hesitate to spend money developing new software as they may not see the benefit in it. By changing or implementing new software and realizing new efficiencies, processes become more streamlined and often times’ companies see increased revenue based on employees completing work faster and more efficiently with the help of the new software.
